My name is Timothy and I am 20 years old. A few days ago I got a phone call from this 866 number this is what happened.
Hello bla bla bla this is not a telemarketing call. I let them talk on and they said we are letting you know that you have been selected to get 500$ free on anything I want to spend it on, anything. They asked me if I knew Michael Jordan and they said that he has millions of dollars he's giving away (FRAUD). All I have to do is pay 4.95 to the ups guy when I recieve my package. I then asked them what package. They said my 500$ and a card to get 40% off my perscriptions so I said ok (knowing this was a scam I kept them on the phone to get their information). They said we have to confirm a bank account so this is what went on.

"we need your bank name to confirm this $500 offer." I said ok and i made up a fake name.
"now we need your bank account number to make sure its real" I said no I don't have that with me. "ok you remember?" no "ok I'm holding you try and think of it" No I dont give it out and I don't remember "why hunny we need to confirm this." NO I dont give this out and I don't want your 500$."Hunny I'm holding please tell me your numbers." By this time I was quite aggravated and said this is a form of harassment I DO NOT give it out and I don't want your calls anymore and hung up.
5 minutes later they called again asking why I hung up.By this time I was about to scream. Again "do you have the number of your bank account yet?" I then asked to speak to her supervisor and he was more harassing than her! He was trying to talk so much louder than me when I was telling him to NEVER EVER CALL AGAIN "we are a legit company we are true" but in the meantime between those 2 calls I looked on line about consumer rewards and found they're fraud.
I then said do not ever call me again.
5 mins later THEY CALLED back. I said my call is being recorded with you and I'm going to take legal action against you and your company because this is a major form of harassment to me and I don't want you to call ever again. I then hung up and they didn't call back. I did not record the calls tho because I didn't have the chance to. I did it to scare them.
I really hope that something can be done about this. It's not the fact that they kept harassing me for my account numbers cause I'm smart about those things. It's the fact that they could get some poor old lady's account info and totaly drain it. I contacted the district attourney and filed a complaint and hopefully they are shut down. If they call back again I'm going to pretend they never called and record the convo from beginning to end so I have physical evidence for a lawsuit. Just so the LAW can see how herassing and annoying this company is. Thank you again -tim
