These people call at the worst time with their scams and they almost had me. I was interupted by their phone call but didn't want to be rude. I telemarketed for about a month before and it was extremely mentally exausting. People don't want to be bothered from strangers they don't know. Anyway a woman called and said i would be recieving for free $400.00 in airline vouchers and $100.00 in free gas. Sounded great, to good to be true. So suddenly she needs to confirm my routing and checking account numbers.
I asked her how she got those numbers and she said from one of their companies that i have done business with in the last 2 years. Which company though, she could not say. I thought that it was rude for her to ask me such personal quiestions and I don't even know this person or this company. Iasked for her full name and she didn't want to give it to me. Finally she gave me a last name. When i asked for the address to the company she did not know it. Noone in the building knew where they worked. I asked for her supervisors name and she only knew her first name. I actually had to speak to the supervisor for her last name. The woman said that called me told me that it was nothing to give out account numbers and that it was not dangerous but i know better. She managed to get me to confirm my routing number, I just wanted this to be true.
I need a vacation. But my last straw was when know one knew the physical address in which they conduct their business. I hung up and i hope that they cant get into my account. When i gave them the routing number to the bank did i put my account in jeopardy? Should i close that account?
