Humiliating experience, rude employee's Ripoff

A few months ago my boyfriend and I entered Walmart to purchase some things for our new apartment. My boyfriend had just purchased a new truck and with it the electronic door locking system.

As we walked into walmart the security alarm went off. Walking INTO walmart this happened. A older women who was working by the door came over and asked what the problem was. We weren't sure what was going on, she searched my purse and made us both empty our pockets, when she saw that we had nothing she let us continue through the store. There was a large group of people staring and it was quite embarassing.

We continued through the store to get a few things and we noticed a few employees that seemed to be following us around, we thought nothing of it and finished up shopping.

We approaced the counter paid for all of the merchandise, (i paid with a credit card) and then went to leave. The alarm once again went off. The same lady from before approaced us and again searched us and our belongings, then checked my reciept. After seeing everything was paid for we left.

This happened several times at the same Walmart. Finally we had figured out that the new car keys (with the electronic device in them) were the problem. The next time we went to walmart I saw the older lady standing by the door and informed her that the problem was our keys and that it would probably set the alarm off. She let us and made a notation in a book she had. Half way through the store we realized we were going to need a cart (we hadn't though we were buying that much merchandise before hand). My boyfriend walked out to get one and again set off the alarm. He figured the older lady would realize it was still just his keys.

She let him go out and get the cart but upon coming back in she made a comment that he was annoying her because she had to notate every time the alarm went off.

He appologized and we finished shopping. Again we paid for our merchandise and went to leave, he gave her a little wave to let her know it was just his keys again. She promptly came over and proceeded to curse at us very loudly. She accused us of using his keys to smuggle out merchandise. We again let her publicly search us and our belongins. We asked her if we could do it in a private room, but she refused and continue to call us theives.

This experience was so humiliating I am scared to walk into any store with my boyfriends keys. I now make him leave his keys in the car hidden under the floor mats. I am afraid his truck will be stolen but I am more afraid of the embarassment this lady at walmart forced upon us.

I am a recent college graduate and would go to walmart to save money. I now spend way more than I have to just to avoid the embarassment of that store. People like that lady at Walmart need more customer service training
