I signed a 1 year contract with mci wireless in october of 1999 for $49.95 a month with 300 free weekend/night minutes.in november i spoke with a rep in customer service stating i wanted my phone shut off since my contract ended in october.
They assured me it would get cut off. For some odd reason, i decided to keep using my phone since it was never shut off. Finally, in january i kept trying to call their 1-800 number, but was put on hold for an hour!!! No one ever came to the phone. I also noticed that i was no longer receiving my free minutes & that there were misc calls that i never made. From that month until present... I keep trying to rebute my bill & request that the phone be shut off & they quit billing me. I have also moved to another state, but my bill still reflects my old address, a year later no matter how many times i write my new address on the bill.
Granted i still have some charges i haven't paid off, the amount of the bill is ridiculous & it doesn't reflect any payments i have made in the past year. I beginning to think their customer service never looks at the bills!
I am now frustrated & so is my husband. It just seems since my contract has ended, my life has been hell. I keep getting voicemails to contract their customer service immediately, but every time i try to call the number they leave me, it just rings endlessly. I have now tried to access their customer service web-site, but am unable.
I am very pissed! I have also now been getting a second outrageous bill for a second phone number! I don't even own a second phone!!!
Please help!
