I signed up for freecreditreport.com because I am about to be a first time car buyer and wated to check my credit before I even tried to have a credit check done.
I signed up for it on March the 5th of 2005. The first month I was charged I realized I hadn't called to cancel.
So, as soon as i saw it had been taken from my bank account I sent an email stating that I wanted to cancel. I included my name, address, email, and phone #.
I am being charged again this month for $8.95. I have sent 2 emails to this company and nothing has happened. I really makes me mad that I try and check my credit for good use and I am not able to cancel.
It also says free credit report in seconds. I had to wait 7-10 buisness days before I would get my PIN. It was longer than that and I ended up having to call them and get it.
I want something done even if I have to fo to a lawyer myself. I, like most Americans, work hard for my money and don't like to be cheated out of it.
