I went in to eye glass world for a eye exam and a pair of glasses. It was my day off on wed.
I go right in get my exam then they helped me pick out a pair of glasses they had a special if you purchase 1 pair you get one free.
I went here for my first time ever because they have a 1 hour service glasses can be bought and taken home in 1 hour.
Well i pick out 2 pairs of glasses they hepled me it took about 30 mins.
Well after i found them they told me the machine to make the glasses with was broken, now if they would have told me this before i had me exam and spent time fifnding glasses i would have left and went somewhere else but they didnt tell me this.
So roger the store manager told me he guarenteed they would be done tommorow on a thurs, so i agreed to come and get them the following day.
I worked that day so i left a hour early because i had a 45 min. Drive to evansville, in. 47715.
I get to eye glass world and guess what the machine was still broken, and buy the way i had already paid them $285.00 yesterday.
So im mad they didnt even call me to tell me the machine is still broke dont come today.
So im mad i tell them i want my money back, roger says they cant refund me my money at the store in evansville it has to be done through the corp. Office
Well im really mad now, my boyfriend is even worse. I told roger im not leaving until i get my money back.
He gets mad trying to explain to me how they can take my money but cant give it back. So he calls his regional manager (chris)
Well i talked to him on the phone he said they were very sorry and he would do this for me, i will get both pairs of glasses for $59.00 but they will issue me a check from the corp. Office for the differnce. I went ahead and said ok they already had my money and i wasnt getting it back.
Chris said it takes 6 to 8 weeks to receive a check. Needless to say its been almost 5 months and i call the corp office 2 times a week and no one can help me.
Roger at the evansville store doesnt even talk to me anymore because its out of his hands. So im stuck with calling getting nowhere. They are definatley ripping me off and im not sure what to do
I probably need to call a lwayer because i have been ripped off, but im not sure if they can help or if i can take them to small claims or what. Any help from you would be grateful.
