Ripoff Service and equipment faulty but bill increases

I had a DVR recorder with digital cable that kept freezing and the audio on so called digitally remastered programs was impossible to hear when recorded.

When reported, Time Warner had me bring in my DVR for a replacement, which was after many phone calls and being told to re-boot it and that will fix the problem. When I hooked up my new DVR, that had food and scatches all over it, it began to wine a high pitched sound and constantly clicked day and night. We were without cable for four days until a service man finally came.

We were told by the service man that this was an old DVR and he had a new one on the truck that he would replace it with. After spending an hour trying to program the remote for the new DVR he stated that it would not work with my sound system because it was so new and they are working on the problem. I asked him why did it work fine with the old DVR that they told me to trade in for a newer one? He told me it was because my TV was old.

Now I have a DVR with digital cable, a remote that does not operate my TV or Sound System, audio that is still too bad to record, and my cable continually goes off and on several times a week.

I emailed cable about this and they returned an email telling me that "they do not guarantee that the rmote will operate all equipment" and "if you have other problems to call for service".

Too bad we have to pay so much for this "service" and deal with such crap.
