In the past month, I too have gotten a fraudulent charge on my credit in the amount of $9.95 from myperfectcredit.com. I have already submitted a dispute with my credit card company and contacted myperfectcredit.com about the fraudulent charge. I told my credit card company that I am not the only victim in this crime and even referred them to this website. Before I got this fraudulent charge, I never heard of the company nor do I know how they got my credit card number.
It takes several attempts in dailing their phone number before getting past a busy signal. They also refuse to disclose their business address - probably because they don't want attorneys serving them papers or law enforcement personel knocking at their door.
My apparent loss is only $9.95, but if they are doing this to hundreds of thousands of people across the United States and abroad they could be raking in millions in this scam. Besides, alot of people may not notice the charge unless they are looking
at their statements carefully.
They need to be stopped!
While they claim that they are dedicated to your credit care in cleaning up your credit, they only contribute to the growing problem of fraud and identity theft.
When will the authorities that are supposed to protect us take notice?
