The store is too small. Has no competent employees. There is only one grocery store in town, WalMart carries no produce, very little canned/frozen groceries, no automotive center with tires, batteries, accessories with installation... Has no decent garden center... And the aisles are full of loaded pallets of merchandize at all hours of the day and night... So you can't walk around in the store. There is no in store banking, no eyewear services, only one pharmacist
on duty.
This WalMart store is only 3/4 of a mile north of Interstate 20 so it has medium to large traffic flow, yet the parking lot is not easily entered or exited by that traffic. Pecos is in an oil and gas
exploration boom and there is a great influx of people. The closest supercenter is in Fort Stockton... 50 miles southeast, or Odessa, Texas 75 miles east on Interstate 20.
