Our local news is reporting that Nextel and Sprint are attempting a merger. I have Nextel cell phone with radio and have never had any problems with them, however, the friends I have who use Sprint have continual problems with billing, usage, etc. I have had problems with Sprint attempting to bill me for long distance service after I had cancelled with them (approximately 3 months more of monthly charges!). It is my understanding that the stockholders have yet to approve this merger and if that is accomplished then the Government has to approve.
