A successful business not only cares about it's customers but the employees as well. Pier 1 Imports is not successful in that area. Along with very over priced products employees do not get enough hours or enough in their annual raises. What's most upsetting is lack of respect from unreasonable, hypocritical managers. When a manger treats you as if your not important and have no idea what your doing, can't remember your name and takes advantage of their position putting your whole schedule on "flex" so that you are nothing but reserved until further notice, doesn't produce the schedule on time, and is considered selfish and unreliable by all those who follow underneath them. I have to deal with it all the time. Pier 1 Imports does not are an ounce for their employees or their customers. I can't work 8 hours a day and get proper pay to survive but the company can donate over 2 billion dollars to other countries. The job is a trap and I never recommend applying.
