The Relationship Compnay
Ripoff, non existent communication

I joined the relationship company out of desperation as most people must do. I was going through a hard time and needed some friends and/or a relationship.

The company had a hard sell. They were very persuasive and a lot of arm twisted to pay them $2550.00. I mistakingly took them up on a contract. This was one of the biggest mistakes that I could have made at a very vulnerable time. Yes, I was weak as most people are in the worst of times.

I had 10 women to meet. It was know that I would not be the only one to call and make a date. It was a mutual responsiblility. I was bombarded with 3 names at the beginning. They wanted to get me close to my 10 mark as fast as possible. I called the 3 ladies. One was nice but we both had a lot going on that summer and couldn't get a mutual meet up time. The second one didn't want to meet someone who worked at the same place that she did. The third I never called because I thought that it was mutual. Obviously, being in the most conservative town in the south (Augusta), panned out. Ultimately it was my responsibility to call and set the date.

That summer, I put my house up for sell to move. I have lived here all my life and planned on moving. I wrote the relationship company an email telling them of my planned move and that I would like to meet a fun, liberal, lady. Maybe that was too much to ask for a conservative town like Augusta, but The Relationship Company is in the business introduce people of like personalities.

Angie Hexham, a representative of the Augusta office, emailed back and said that this was a relationship company and she would most likely not be able to introduce me to a lady since I would not be staying in town.

Well what about the $2550. I can understand her reasoning, but my money was never mentioned. I disputed the claim with my credit card. I did this about 3 weeks after I joined. I knew that I would soon be listing the house. But, the credit card company denied the dispute and I was left with the $2550.00.

This company is a rip-off. I understand that I should have paid for my stupid decision. Even though they preyed on my vunerablities. Some credit should be offered.

Any dealings with The Relationship Company should be avoided!!!
