IGIA Epil-Stop Spray: Consumer ripoff Scam

I ordered the Epil-Stop Spray from the popular television commercial. I don't usually order from television ads, but the money-back guarantee changed my mind. When I called to place the order, the salesperson on the phone managed to talk me into a double supply at a discounted rate. (what was I thinking?) So, my credit card statement showed that they charged me $53.85 on May 27.

It took several weeks for the product to arrive. When it did arrive, I used it and found that I was very unsatisfied with it. On July 16 I returned the product via Priority Mail with a US Postal Service Delivery Confirmation Receipt in hand. A month later, assuming I would see the credit on my credit card statement, I was concerned when it wasn't there. I called the post office and confirmed that the company had indeed received the product back.

I called the number that was printed with their information from my credit card statement. When I spoke with the customer service rep., I was first repremanded for not calling before returning the product. I was repeatedly hung-up on "accidentaly" forcing me to call back and tell them of my situation from the beginning.

Finally, I confirmed to them that I had proof that they had received the product back in a timely manner. Now, they are telling me that I have to send all of my information to the CRC department. What was most amazing about the CRC department is that they didn't have a phone! No, they can ONLY be contacted via fax or mail. Naturally, I tried faxing them several times. Ofcourse, every time I called to confirm the fax, the customer service rep. Would say that the CRC must not have received the fax because they have made no note of it on my account through their computer system. I have since repeatedly faxed them the information and have yet to receive my refund. I plan on mailing the information using certified mail.

I just think that it is completely unprofessional and unethical to treat honest customers in such a way. You know, the $54.00 is not even the issue anymore. That is chump change compared to the fact that they are getting away with this type of business practices. I don't care about the money. I will not be taken advantage of!

The sad part is that not everyone will fight to get their refund like this causing the companies that treat consumers this way to continue to do so.
