I checked my phone bill and noticed a unusual charge. $20.00 for cmi profiles. What exactly is that,? I wondered. When I called to find out about it the lady told me that they provide discount concert tickets and games and such to look up celebrities. First off if I want information about concerts and celebrities I could and would look up online for FREE. The lady then proceeded to tell me that the email address was verified through third parties. Funny how I don't remember registering for this. Anyone and their brother can use your name and make up a email address. How do they verify that its actually you? Do they toss a coin in the air and say heads its you and tails its you? I told the lady that this was not me and to cancel immediately. She also said that she would refund the money and put in the comments that it was the wrong email address and she told me to contact the support center to figure out who did this. Maybe they should start changing their verification process to include telephoning the individual about the supposed account or even mailing a letter through the post office. That would make more sense than to bill for something that wasn't requested by me (or the individua) l! I believe this is a huge ripoff for the company to get money from unsuspecting people through their phone bill!
