I was investigating my at&t phone bill and found that I was being charged 16.07 since Nov. 14 2007. When I had called to see what that was about, they said it was for Email Discounts that I had never ordered. When I had asked them to remove the bill and get a remburstment, they tried to tell me that since I had agreed to the terms of the Email Discounts that they could only cancel the bill with no remburstment. Then I told the lady that I was being a victim of Identity theft and she still told me the same thing. Then I threatened to contact a lawyer and they're attitude changed. Now I was being told that I would be getting the remburstment since Nov 14 till Aprill 1 of 2008.
I also called at&t and let them know that I was being remburst and to put a protection on my account from any other charges that may appear. So if my remburstment doesn't arrive in 5-7 days, I will be contacting a lawyer for this matter to make sure that they don't get away with any of this.
