I am writing this to warn other bands what i experienced. There are many companies out there who take advantage of bands and tell them all the amazing things they can do for them. A & R worldwide promised my band so many things. My band handed over tens of thousands of dollars to this company and expected a return on our investment. They did almost nothing for us. They even went so far as to take credit for some of the stuff we had already gotten ourselves.
They told us all of the great industry people they knew and would hook us up with. They knew a few people, none of them were the people into our kind of music, or had no real worth at all. We were a bit naive and trusting, but that definitely came back to bite us in the a*. If you have a band, DO NOT, give money to these companies. They prey on bands with their false promises.
We found out you can do things yourselves and have regrouped and pressed on, still with a bitter taste for the entertainment business in our mouth. I have been in many bands over the years, some big, some small, but have never dealt with scammers like this. I just felt like I needed to tell my story, so other bands and musicians could save themselves many headaches.
