Rush delivery turns out to be NO delivery

Im a member of Rotary International. During our clubs annual fundraising auction I decided to order rubber wrist bands and sell them at the event in order to raise money for a cause thats very important for our organizationending polio worldwide.

As a very busy person, I admit postponing ordering the wrist bands a bit. I didnt get around to ordering the wrist bands until March 11th. I searched the Internet for a company that could complete the order in a very short time and
came across www.wrist-band.com.

During my conversation with their customer service representative I was assured that my bracelets would arrive on time by March 19th, probably on March 18th, as long as I select rush delivery.

I was charged extra $35 for the rush delivery. Once again, I explained to the representative the importance of the eventthis is an annual event of our Rotary Club that draws a crowd of 200 people or more. During this event we usually raise up to $50K for our causes. I was committed to my fellow Rotarians, as well as my cause and I needed the wrist bands. No problem, I was told, youd have your wrist bands on time.

Friday the 18th came and there were no sign of my wrist bands. Saturday morningstill nothing. I was too busy to call www.wrist-band.com that day. I also knew that my call on Saturday would not change anything anyway.

I went to one of the most important events of my organization this year without the wrist bands.

Finally, I called www.wrist-band.com on Tuesday, March 22nd. I was still hoping maybe USPS has messed something up; lets say they delivered the wrist bands to the wrong address.

Not at all! The customer representative casually explained that they have encountered production problems and my wrist bands will probably be delivered in five business days. I asked whether they have any record of me requesting the delivery by March 19th. The representative acknowledge the fact and offered a refund for the extra fee I paid for rush delivery.

The problem is, the wrist bands were intended for one particular event, and that event was over. I no longer needed the wrist bands. On the top of it, nobody bothered to warn me, either by email or phone, about their production problems. The representative said theres nothing else he can do for me.

When I asked whether this is how they treat all their customers and whether they were members of Better Business Bureau, he just snapped at me. He said they dont need the membership and that I can complain about my treatment to whomever I want. Well, as www.wrist-band.com is not a member of BBB, I figured maybe RIP OFF is a proper place to air my grievances and warn their prospective clients: www.wrist-band.com does not deserve your business.

If they didnt bother giving heads up about my order, they probably would not care about yours too; unless your event is a 10,000 people affair. On their website, theyre bragging about working with Microsoft and Sirius. So Im guessing smaller organizations are just not big enough— they dont deserve to be treated fairly and their orders can be disregarded.

Ive ordered merchandise from many other Internet retailers and 99% of the time my orders were delivered on time, especially rush orders.in case they cannot make it, they give me heads up, either via email, a phone call, or at least by providing a tracking number.

If you need your wrist bands quickly, look elsewhere!
