I purchased tickets for the Striesand concert held in in Atlanta. The purchase price for the ticket was $1500.
When I received the ticket through the mail, the face value of the ticket was $750.
Keeping in mind the this was a SOLD OUT concert, there would have been NO tickets left to sell.
When I arrived at the concert, the seat to my left was unoccupied. Everyone around my seat was asking questions as to why this seat was vacant. Several of the people around my had expressed that they had tried to buy another ticket for their part, but had been told by their seller that there were no more tickets available.
Everyone around me had said that they had paid face value for their tickets. Even those that had purchased their tickets from Ticket Master in other cities.
It was obvious to everyone that I had paid for 2 seats rather than one. When I contacted Ticket Master, they informed me that the seat to the left of me had not been sold. How could this be in a venue that was SOLD OUT.
Upon contacting Ticket Master, they informed me that the scalping of tickets was LEGAL in our state and that they did not charge me for the seat next to me, when it was obvious that I had paid for it.
What a rip-off!
