Let me start by saying, I stopped using my Blockbuster card years ago. Now... I remember why. I called ahead to see if they had a certain movie for sale. The manager "Kevin" said yes, they had it. The sale price was $14.99. I drove all the way across town to buy this one particular movie. After waiting in an extended line, the young girl working the register rung me up. The total came to $23 and some change. When I asked why, she said that Blockbuster began charging customers who purchase their movies a 5 day rental fee on top of the purchase price. She explained this was to cover costs of replacement. Before I could respond, the little girl got really snippy, and said she didn't make the rules... Blah, blah, blah. Yes sweety, I know you get paid $5.00 an hour working for Blockbuster, I don't believe you make the rules. After hearing the little girl talking to me, Kevin, the "manager" came over to inquire. I explained to him what was going on. He told the cashier that I was correct. The only time the charge for the extra week's rental fee is given, is when you have rented it, then decided to buy. The two working there began bickering back and forth, rolling eyes, etc. I got fed up and left. I will never go there again. Blockbuster seems to have some of the craziest, most outrageous rules and regs of any company. Don't even get me started on trying to rent an XBOX 360 game. Fair warning... I recommend going to Hollywood or Hastings in Maryville from now on.
