We called Empire Today almost a year ago to install new flooring in our home. Salesman came out as promised and sold us (we had 3 large rescue dogs at the time, one has since past on.) laminate flooring. I had wanted hard wood but he talked me out of it and insisted that laminate would hold up better with our dog situation. I told him I had rescue dogs and that sometimes they have issues. He took the sample and held it under the faucet and said "even if this sat for eight or more hours it won't hurt this floor"
Well, I believed and trusted the salesman and agreed to the deal.
BIG MISTAKE!
I don't know anything about floors and thought that is why I was paying Empire. For the knowledge and expertise they supposedly offered.
Well, long story short the floor they sold us could not have been more wrong for me and my family. They sold me a shiny floor witch shows every footprint... But it turns out that this floor is not recommended where urine might be present... Hello I said I have three "RESCUE DOGS" I even told the guy I was getting rid of the carpet because of the URINE!
I have tried to deal with these people and they even agreed to replace the floor with tile (which is what we should have been sold in the beginning) We have now spent almost 3 months trying to resolve this with them.
We even picked out the tile, but suddenly we don't get any call backs and nobody wants to talk to us.
My advise to anyone thinking of hiring this company is to "CHANGE YOUR MIND AND CALL EXPRESS FLOORING INSTEAD" Or go to Home Depot and do a little extra work... Trust me. It's worth it.
