Poor Response to customer dissatisfaction - Floor Carpeting

We chose National Floors Direct for the selection and reasonable price they offered. We scheduled an install of carpet for the living room and hall, and scheduled it for 3/3, they gave us a window time of 12:00-4:00pm (even though they require you to be home all day) At 2:00pm the appointment was cancelled due to their vehicle trouble and rescheduled for 3/10. At 7:10 am on 3/10 the secretary called to tell us the installer would arrive between 3:00-6:00 pm, (again required to stay home all day) they arrived at 6:00 pm (odd time to install carpet) while we ate our dinner. The installers took up the old carpet and pad, removed closet doors, laid out the new pad and carpet to find out it was to short due to the wrong measurements of the salesperson. After speaking with the company secretary, the installer was told to leave the pad and take the carpet back, leaving us with a mess. We have had to move furniture twice, missed time out of work, had to cancel a family function and cancel other deliveries of furniture to accomodate these people and after speaking with the company rep we were offered $40.00 for our trouble (the commision of the salesperson) We feel we have been more than fair with this company and only want to be compensated fairly for their lack of customer satisfaction policies. We would NOT recommend this company to anyone, their lack of attention to the satisfaction of their customers is appalling!!
