I am at the point of complete despair with these people. I have been trying to modify my loan with this bank for over a year now and have just found out that my application was "tossed" because of one document that i did not supply. This is bs because it was a document that i would have had to supply if i was paying condominium or hoa fees. And because i did not supply that "hand written" document, they trashed my application... Without even telling me it was missing, before they threw it away.
The kicker here is... On the loan modification application there is a question that asks " if you pay these fees or not. I checked off the box that
say no... Therefore indicating that i do not pay hoa fees. Therefore i am expemt from having to supply a handwritten document showing proof that i pay these fees. It even states in the itemized checklist of all the documents
they need along with your application, and it says "proof of payment of hoa fees needed" then in parenthasis... (if applicable)!!!
I was also just told that this decision to throw out my application happened in mid september (yes 2010) because i failed to submit this document... And i have my fax printout and pdf files of all the documents that i sent them along with my application... And they were faxed september 14th
so if you do the math... My application was tossed before they actually got it.
And the bs excuse they did it was over a form that i am totally exempt from having to supply iin the first case.
This is my secon attempt to modify my loan... This has been going on for almost 20 mths.
The process actually started with washington mutual... And i still am getting the shaft.
On my first round of modification (when chase just took over).. I was actuall approved for "the trial period"
this means that you have gotten past all the document bs... And now they want to see if you can make payments.
Well i was on my 5th month of making payments and i got a call from chase and when i finally got to speak to someone they tell me that my application for modifcation was denied and that the house had a sale date in 30 days.
I was told that even though i was approved for the trial period... They could still deny me... And thats what they chose to do.
They said the only choice i had was to refile the mod. Or sell the house or let it go into foreclosure.
Have i said enough!!! About this!!! I hate these people and the aggony they are putting me through. I was laid off from my job of 23 years in 2006.. Always paid my mortgage on time prior to this.
When i finally found work... I was severly hurt on the job and was not able to work for a year. And now i am way behind on my mortgage. Rebuilding my life again with a new business that is succeeding... Proved to them that i could pay my mortgage... And they pull the rug from me... And now say i neglected a document and i'm back to square one and i will have to refile for a third time or foreclose...
This is a absolute crime... I wish there was someone to turn to to help me.
