Albany Court Apartments
Discrimination — bullying

I accepted renting at an "over-55" apartment complex because it is far from street, quiet so I get enough sleep, but it gets seniles and others weeded out by the manager in ways not normal for apartments. (As if they want to alter it to convalescent without need of nursing, yet advertise for any tenant if there's a vacancy.) Well, next door old lady calls 911 after I'd struck a wall twice over having to hear her talk to her new lapdog through the wall in common. Cop all the way through ONLY heard HER out, then tells me that instead of the already 30-day vacate notice I gave, I have less than ONE week to find another apartment. Manager gets this little bit of the rag and goes after as large a further chunk she can chew — I was bullied into leaving in my own good stead. Took me 2 months through bad weather, etc. To get another apartment. I was not informed that police cannot judge and force leaving sooner. Lady next door changes her behavior according to getting what she wants — acts 'poor little me', cuddling her pup and swaying it like a child while talking to the cop; then as soon as cop gives decree that I'm too leave sooner, she adds that she shall call 911 every time I hit a wall. (That's not an emergency, by the way.) Manager then twice knocked on my door — after we'd all agreed I'd move out sooner — just to tell me she'd supply her maintenance man to assist my leaving. A third time, she knocks, asking me to speak with her in her office, pushing this until I had to insist that I'm in middle of recording, have to watch when to manually change bands; this was after we'd all understood it's over, and she's not just being an apartment manager, but 'social-dictator'. They started 'getting on my case' when I said that ONE inspection per year — that of Housing Authority suffices, and asked (when a second one in just a few months was required) for which other THREE government departments are going to inspect. I was told there are 4 in all. But the manager's reply is that she is not required to tell me. Now, I ask: If by slipping a piece of paper under my door, notifying me there shall be an inspection, that gives any gov't inspector the right to enter my apartment, what if I'm gone for the week, never read this, and so people I do not know, nor heard of as authorized (aside from HUD), enter my apartment? There's something wrong with so many inspections and with the notification process. But my main complaint is that of DISCRIMINATION, bullying — apt. Mgr. Acting outside what's expected of administrators for tenancy.
