Like recent reports, I also decided to support the young salesman who appeared at my door today. I decided to purchase the "Sports Package" for 1 year.
I found the young man's story convincing and felt sympathetic to his plight. I did not really need the magazines, nor want them at all.
After reading several accounts of others on this site with similar experiences, I managed to put a stop payment on the check as well as completely shut down the account. I followed the instructions on the receipt and scanned in the receipt and emailed it to the company the same day I ordered the items.
The entire process gives you such a small window to cancel. If you do not email the scanned receipt, the cancellation needs to be sent in the mail within three business days including saturday from the sales date.
I do feel bad for the salesman as he is on the bad end of this — he *seemed* very genuine, but I feel better knowing my money is not being wasted on a fraudulent company.
