My wife and I joined the "Lone Star Savings" club when we lived in Abilene and were decently poor college students. They gave us a great deal because we told them no about 4 or 5 times.
We used them to price a couple of items and actually bought a refrigerator from Sears through them and saved a hundred dollars. That was August.
Since then, we have made three or four attempts to get pricing requests and left many messages on their website (which, by the way, is no longer active) and answering machine.
As others have already discovered, this is obviously a HUGE HOAX and a MAJOR SCAM. I have my pretty laminated membership cards and my member number that mean absolutely nothing now.
They are gone off the face of the planet.
We need a lawyer to step up and represent the clients of these scam artists and get our money back. Seeing the other reports online testify to this face. This company has cheated a lot of people out of a lot of money.
I'm not sure what can be done, but I know people have won a lot stupider lawsuits before and this one isn't stupid.
