My grandson stole my ring and a bracelet. He pawned the ring at Richie's pawn shop and Richie's reported it to the police. I made a report that it was stolen. The police did not match these up. A year later, my grandson told me he pawned the ring at Richie's and I called the police department and talked with a Mary something or other. She immediately pulled up the report from Richie's. She told me she would check to see if it had been sold. She did not call me back and when I called her, she said the ring had been sold and I would not get it back. I talked with a lawyer about this and he told me to take it out of Middletown because the lawyers here had to work with the police. So far I can find no one to take this case. Just wondering is there is anything you can do. Thanks for any assistance you can give me.
