I pawned a ring valued at about $5,000 dollars for some quick emergency cash.
When I payed off the loan to EZ pawn and took the ring, everything seemed to be all right. Later, my wife began wearing the ring again. When she looked at the main diamond in it with a microscope, she realized it was not the original diamond. The stone was also loose and the microscope showed the mount had been resoldered. The replaced diamond had carbon inclusions. When we bought the ring from Helzberg diamonds, they showed us the stone with a microscope and it had no inclusions. Someone at the pawn shop had removed and replaced the diamond with one of far less value. Stay away from this company!
