My son was accused of murdering his friend by 2 people that were the legal tenents of record where his friends body remained in the basement for 2 weeks. The two accusors not only claimed not to know the body was in the basement but they have have family and friends on the Niagarafalls Police force and in the Niagara County court. The female occupant of the house was never arrested or charged because the Procesecutor states that there is no eveidence linking her to the murder, and even though her boy friend was eventially, because he claims that he assisted my son with removing the body from thier basement, he is being charged with a class A misdemeanor, his mother is a Niagara falls police detective.
Statements given by the two of them are contrictory and not supportive to each other and there has been no eveidence linking my son to the murder either which was proven by d.N. A and phorensics, however he has been incarcerated for almost a year and inspite of the lack of evidence the prosecutor is attempting to charge him with murder to spare the two of them. I have copies of the discovery regarding the case for any one that can help.
There is no way anyone could not know a body was in their basement, especially since they are the occupants of the house and my son was merely a visitor. We live in Buffalo New York where son would have fled had he committed the murder, He was down the street from where the body was found at the time of his arrest. The girl was killed on June 14th someone used her cash card on the 15th and ironically the computers at the store where it used was down, but most importantly my son knew the deceased 7 years and his accusors only knew him 7 months.
The stange thing about the city of Niagara Falls and Lockport is that the residence are either Police Officers, Lawyers, Or Judges or welfare, s.S. I reciepients or drugdealers and as strange as it may seem, inspite of their social and economic differences they are either blood related or friends which means that if we do not get help from an outside, neutral, objective source my son doesn't stand a chance.
I am a single parent paying my youngest childs way through college, I also have custody of my son's oldest son, so unfortunately I cannot afford to pay an attorney $25,000.00 and $200,000.00 bail. I would sincerely appreciate any assistance or suggestions, again I have all of the documention for review from the onset of his arrest, preliminary hearing and phorensic reports.
