Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Niagara Falls on August 4th and 5th. Several days later noticed a $200 charge in addition to the normal room charges. Upon inquiry was told that a phone and lamp were missing from my room, so I was charged for it. Manager reported her "hands were tied" by company policy, and that if I wanted to pursue a refund to contact corporate headquarters. She eventually agreed to review video tapes to try to determine the actual culprit and would call me. I never heard back from her. Am proceeding with chargeback procedures on my credit card, which if successful, will cost the hotel much more than refunding my $200 would.
