I signed up for my so-called 'free membership', and was informed of my free bids. At no point did I see that using these bids would automatically upgrade my account to a premium account and cost me £60 per month for the 3 month minimum membership period. I used a free bid for a supermarket gift card and when I checked my bank balance this morning, I discovered they had taken £179 from me! I called them to complain and was initially told there was no cancellation option. It was only after going into the T&C's that I discovered the fact I could cancel, subject to a £35 fee. I was told they would cancel the order for the gift card too as I wasn't able to have that and cancel the account. Thinking that I would at least get the £178 minus the cancellation fee, I was initially relieved, only to then be advised I would have to pay the first month as I had used the account...! I am appalled at the customer service as I kept being spoken over, put on hold or just left listening to the background noise from the call centre... They are scammers in every sense of the word and I would strongly recommend that you stay well clear otherwise you'll end up being stung for a lot of money with nothing to show for it. Odds on the company isn't registered in the UK and so my usual rights are irrelevant... Don't make the same mistake I did.
