I filed a claim for my A/C two weeks ago and a technician was sent. He said the compressor was out and had to contact Choice Home Warranty for approval to repair. (That was a Saturday) Hurricane Sandy came the next day and of course phones have been down. I finally get someone today and they are asking me for paperwork on the history of my A/C. What!!! I was with American Home Shield for almost 10 years and was never asked this when filing any kind of a claim. (I changed because Choice is cheaper, but you get what you pay for!!!) I'm now having to contact AHS to have them send me history on work they've done; meanwhile Choice Home Warranty has to send it to the "review board" to determine what will be done. Don't get suckered into this company. View all the complaints that are listed, in which I did not do. Also, they don't even have a complaint email address. You have to contact a manager and they send it to the complaint dept. I even spoke with a manger and he tried to defend his company, of course, stating they've been in business over 15 years, which really isn't a long time... Do not get fooled by the service charge price like i did. Pay the extra for American Home Shield and keep your sanity!!!
