Hi I am a single mother Of a special needs son and was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago. On November 11th Around 6pm I was at my local walmart Getting groceries for me and my son to tide us over for the next couple of days. Before Entering walmart I had called My ebt card company and verified My balance on my card for food allowance. When at the register My total came up to 120 and some change. I asked that my card be typed in So the cashier did. After entering in my pin and my card processing. She would tell me i needed another form of payment. I started reducing my items to see if maybe it was refusing it because i was too close to my limit. So i continued to try and even reduced my total down to 75$. The cashier then Looked at me and said Don't you have cash or something Instead? So i explained i know the amount i have. And called and verified it again on my cellphone and on speaker so she could here it. Stating i had 137$ on my card. She gave a cringed face. And asked her to try it again. Because it should go through. Again the same thing. Normally It Will give card delicined if a issue or another form a payment with my balance on a printout. But it was not. She had never gotten a print out. The cashier then called a csm. When the csm arrived. The lady standing behind me Said You know people actually work for their money. The csm looked at me and Said trying to slide my card not even punching it in or actually trying it. And asked with attitude do you have a problem. Because Oviously your freeloading off the goverment is not good here. Cancelled my transcation and said I suggest you take your business elsewhere... Mind you i did leave. But went to the next nearest store while in the parking lot again verified my balance. Then proceeded inside to make a food purchase to see if it goes through. Oddly it did. I then went to the nearest grocery store and gathered the basics and again It went through no problem. I went back to walmart about a hour later and rang up a soda and a box of cereal and It went through no problems. And showed a remaining balance of 120$ I have receipts proving that From walmart at the other stores my balance was 137.. The card went through and was not blocked. And had no issues..
