Received call from 1-239-645-4240
Two years ago I was pressured (for lack of better words) into a "free" vacation package from this company. I ended up paying them some money and I ended up cancelling when I got the infromation package in the mail. I remember it was very difficult to cancel and there were multiple conversations with people. I just kept stating whatever I was entitles to have as a refund I wanted.
I was refunded the majority of the money and a few non refundable fees to "vendors" was lost. I told them the package was not for me after all and whatever I can get back I wanted and I would not have this vacation now or in the future.
Fast forward two years later, sales rep calls me and tells me that I still owe 900 because one of the tickets was cancelled but not the other one (well THAT makes perfect sense...) And, if I didn't re book there would be a hold on my credit card and it would negatively affect me. I would be charged and a vacation wasted and my card might be frozen.
I called visa and the customer service agent was very confused and said I did the right thing by NOT giving any other information to them and my credit score was still excellent.
Point is that I felt pressured (again), threatened, and there was no effort/messages/letters by this company prior even if everyting was still correct.
I chalk this up as a life lesson. Book your vacations at an agency.
