I was at the Outback in Bayside Queens and I was sitting by the bar area and I started choking and the bartendar just looked at me in shock and did nothing to help me. My 17 year old son stood up and yelled help, but no one came to his aid. He then performed the hemlick manuever and he was able to dislogde the piece of lobster that was caught in my throat, Five minutes later the manager who was rather young (in her twenties came over and asked me if I was all right). I was very disappointed with the reaction people and staff had at my time of distress. I'm sorry to say that I will never be going back to another Outback Steakhouse again. I have to say that I use to go to the Outback twice a month. I think it would be a good idea to train all your employees so they know how to react to an emergency situation. Safety should be your main goal.
