RnI am writing because the I guess the name of my water company is EDP Water or that is the company that handles the billing. This company is practicing unlawful business billing tactics which is resulting to four of their reps to which I had spoken to last week and previously has threatened to turn off my water today. I would have wrote sooner, but the last straw was Friday 10/19 when I finally found out exactly why they were vaguely claiming they had the right. All of my monthly bills has been paid since 2 when I began with this company because I moved in a different subdivision. Anyway I called at last month to confirm that my pmt had been received and I was told yes, everything was okay. Well, last week I received a disconnect notice. I called and asked why the rep said due something I missed previously this summer. Of course, I said what? She said she didn't know. I told her I would go home and check my files. Did and didn't see anything missing. I called back got another rep she said I missed July. I told her I would go home and check, I did, July was paid. But, I found a disconnect card hanging on my front door and not sure how long it had been out there; I enter/exit via garage. I called back the very next day which was Thursday this rep told me August was not paid, I told her it was but told her I will bring it to work with me on Friday and fax to her. So, I did and she finally broke down and told me my current bill was not paid even though I told them that was the only one not paid all along. My current was not paid, but is now sent off $39.84, but sent $45.00 because I know they add 3-4 dollars late fee. This rep and the last rep that I spoke with on Friday said my water will be turned off due to $4.13 I think that was owed from August being late. They say when a bill is late they include the upcoming month and when I don't pay the upcoming month that's not due yet my late clock is still ticking. Also, they say when they continue to bill for the entire amount of the previous bill that's suppose to mean that I owe late fee. When to me it means owe I paid that so disregard, because the previous late fee is never included in the current amount due. August bill was mailed off 9/2 so there was no reason for me the believe it arrived late. RnAlso, when I first moved in in February 25 this company charged me for the entire month of February when they had renters in the house up until the day before I moved in. But, since they didn't take time to cut the water off between occupancy's they said I owed for the entire month. Because they don't prorate or count like that, ain't but one way to count I did not owe for February 1-24. Basically, this company creates rules and policies that benefit them lawful or not. They have apparently cheated many people and their books need auditing. Oh, they claim I owe them 5.00 for disconnect letter/another 5.00 for disconnect notice that they ran and put on my door w/o a date on it of delivery and it claims I owe $94.99 including upcoming month that is not due until November 6. Rn Meanwhile, I need help they say they are going to cut my water off because I didn't pay $4.13 or something that they are very aware of me not having any knowledge. This company needs to be audited there is no way I owe them $4.13 nor $174. Whatever it's just get rich scheme for the little country people since I guess we have no where else to get the necessity of water. This is not right and was my last words to the last rep. I now have no water, haven't been home yet since 6 am for work than school. Two people ran into the back of me this summer, and I am on meds for my aches and pains although keeping schedule. I still have therapy 3 days a week and I told a couple of them to stop playing that I did not have the time or patience because I paid my bill. Thanks for your needed assistance. I believe they don't want me to live there anymore due to I had filed a complaint with FBI IC3 and they forwarded to the neighborhood inexperienced police department. So, there solution to my problems is to run me out. I have been moving just about every year because the stalker has money for 12 years. I have to live somewhere and deserve water since I paid for it. I am not sharing my personals for the details to be forwarded. Last month strangely I received 3 disconnect notices from Amber and my bills were paid they just want me to go. I am seldomly home, I pay my $1500.00 a month because that's what I have to pay to be safe; thanks for your expedited help.
