I purchase a service contract on 07/30, from this company for extended warranty coverage on my 2005 F-250 Ford Power Stroke. On 10/05, I filed a claim due to an problem concerning the head gaskets. Two adjusters were sent to inspect the vehicle and took it for a ride with all their necessary gages hooked up to exam the performance of the motor. They both agreed there was an issue noted and it was later determined that the oil cooler had a failure/restriction, they also noted the oil cooler temp was higher than normal, indicating a blockage. My mechanic was advised it was necessary to disassemble the motor to allow further inspections. It was then determined the caused for the blown head gaskets were stretched, torqued head bolts. These heads bolts secure the unit together and they are the original torqued head bolts installed by Ford, which will stretch when torqued. These original torqued head bolts are for one time installation, when removed they must be discarded and replaced with new as determined by the disassembly and reassembly instructions by Ford Motor Company.
