Put down a deposit on a vacation rental. Sent money via Money Gram. Received an agreement and a receipt from supposedly an agent named Dale Smith (but writing from another person's email: Lynne Mayfield). However, checked out the vacation rental address and the place is not for rent. Was told that an doorman will give keys upon arrival. Checked out the rental address—no doorman. Was told the owner was Richard Maldonado (whom I sent the money to) but was not true upon checking out the building. I then cancelled the reservation, but the deposit was never refunded.
