My college student daughter was encouraged to open up a credit card at a Modells store in Brooklyn. She did not enough $ to cover the $33 of the bill. She has no job, goes to school full-time and should not have been encouraged to open up a credit card.
This happened at the end of May. The bill came to her school address while she had already left to serve at a summer camp. It was forwarded to her parents' address in CT. The bill was paid in full. Now, Modells is harassing my daughter for $135.00 in fees. Is this fair? What can we do to make these fees go away?
