I am Landlord for property located in East Orange NJ. My second fl tenant without my permission order dish from direct Tv. The lease agreement sign by tenant cleared stated that tenant cannot have any company.installed or do any work both interior or exterior without writter authorization by me the landlord. My tenant order dish from Direct Tv they came out never try to get intouch with me the landlord before they install the dish on my home for my tenant and damaged my vinyl Siding. I Call direct TV to put in a complained and to explained to them that I didnt give my tenant permission and I would like for them to remove the dish and repaired
the damaged they caused. I explained to them the dish is too large for the vinyl to hold it. They told me they cannot removed the dish my tenant have to requestd that service. Direct Tv need my tenant permission to remove there dish but didnt see fit to get my permission before they installed this dish for my tenant. I would like direct Tv to be held responsible for the damaged done to my property and for them to put put in placed where there technician need authorization by a landlord before they stared drilling holes on ones property and just not take the word of a tenant. If direct TV had contact me the Landlord I would not authorize this work tobe done on the siding of my property. This is my second time having problem with direct Tv Coming out installing dish on my property without getting my permission I told them before to keep on file my first complained and for them not to installed anymore dish on the sideing of my home. Direct Tv feel they dont have to talk to a landlord as long as a tenant signed off giving them permission they dont need to talk to the landlord and this is so wrong.
