My mom recently moved to an apartment community, after moving in she was told that the only cable company accepted is Comcast. When my mom called to disconnect the service she was told that she needed to pay $200 for early disconnection fee. I believe that if is out of the costumers hands, they should not be obligated to pay the fee. She is on an very limited disability income and can't afford to come up with $200 especially for services that she will not be receiving.
