I ordered DireTV (10/08) with installation done on 10/10) because of their claim of "Now you can record, pause, rewind, fast-forward, and delete shows in any room, even start watching in one room and finish in any other." That is NOT true. I had Dish and was able to pause and rewind any live program I was watching from any TV I had hooked up to my DVR receiver. So, foolishly, I thought DirecTV would work the same way. You can ONLY pause, rewind and fast-forward a recorded show! The only live programming you can Pause and Rewind is live streaming from the internet. Why would I pay for DirecTV if I was just going to watch the internet. The only TV that allows you to do this is the TV hooked up directly to the DVR. All others DO NOT get the same privileges. I tried to cancel on 10/13 but as told that I would have to pay the $480 of early termination fee. I would like to cancel out of my service without the fee due to the misleading information posted on their website. When calling customer service they were not even aware of how the equipment they were selling worked. When I tried to explain what I wanted they did not understand what I was stating. It is very frustrating that there is no out for something so misleading. I will be taking this to my Minnesota Attorney General for assistance on resolution. Very disappointing that a business can mislead so much and you are stuck!!
