I just came home and found a home delivery door tag that said the fedex guy came by when I wasn't home. The tag said fedex was going to try twice more to deliver the package. Given that I (like most people) work away from home during the day, the fedex guy is going to miss me both times. So I went online to see where in Boulder, CO the package was being held so I could ride over to the store and pick up my package. It turns out that they drove it from Denver to my house and then all the way back to Denver again, effectively putting it out of range for me. Even if I had a car or took the bus it would take over an hour to get into Denver from Boulder. Since I can't get to Denver after work before they close shop, I'm going to have to go on the weekend to get it. Why the hell would they keep the package in Denver? Why not drop it off in one of the conveniently placed (for them and me) fedex stores in Boulder. It seems they've forced me to sign the door tag that allows them to drop off the package in late morning so it can sit out in the open for any passersby to walk off with. It's either that or spend most of Saturday on the bus going to Denver and back!
