that they had received a lot of error messages from my computer and he could show me why. My Microsoft firewall had expired, and he with the help of a Certified Windows Engineer Shawn, ID # 2511318 they would enable the M/S firewall if I paid $129.00 for 1 year, or 199.00 for 2 years, maybe 299.00 for 5 years. I told him that i would have to check Global IT Technologies was a legite company. Charlie than advised me to check their web site, which looked ok. Then he asked my age and made an offer for $ 119.00 for 5 years. That when I got suspicious! I hung up.
Ten minutes later Shawn called back and asked me to look at the computer to see what he can fix for me. He had gained access to my computer without my permission and was running Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool, vers. Sept and a full scan & Defrag.
Looked good to me, but when I insisted I had to double check with a known to me computer technician he insisted that I was endangering my computer and he could only honor the $119.00 offer there and now.
Defrag completed, I tried to exit the full scan, but I could not. I pulled the plug on the computer, Sat morning my icons on the desktop are missing, but all the errors and warnings are still in Application and System.
