Quid promised to obtain $289,000.00 in corporation grant funds to upgrade my business. Their fee was $3200.00 and like a fool I sent the funds to them. They seemed very professional (Phone numbers, fax numbers, website, email addresses etc...) Somewhere along the way I was told that they had merged with Interlan Corp thus Quid/Interlan and that they had found $295,000.00 in grant funds for me from a local foundation. I was told that it was necessary to donate 5% of my grant to local charities and it was necessary for me to start my own non-profit foundation in order to receive my funds.in my mind it was a wish come true (money to completely upgrade my business and also donate to local charities). Just as Quid would take all my application information and re-write in a way that would guarantee results, I was told that Interlan would set-up my non-profit to coincide with receiving my grant funds. I was told that I could use my grant funds to reimburse my expenses. I am ashamed to say that I sent Interlan $5800.00 for this service. Just like Quid I received phone numbers, emails, website, etc... And filled out all the forms and applications. The last time I was able to communicate with my contact, I was told that all the forms were about to be sent to the State of Minnesota to be approved. Shortly after, all communications ceased to exist. I still have most of the phone numbers and first names and sometimes when I call the phone actually rings and am allowed to even leave a voice mail; but that's as far as it gets. It would sure be nice to get my $9,000.00 back. Your help would be greatly appreciated. This whole escapade began in July.
