When placing a hotel reservation hotwire's system timed out. I did not receive a confirmation that the room booked, so I immediately made a duplicate reservation. When my bill showed a duplicate, hotwire refused to credit the duplicate charge saying that I hit the button twice and that all sales are final. Hotwire conviently uses this internet "glitch" to profit from its customers. This is the second time this has happened to me, but the first time I used a credit card that issued me a refund because of its buyer protection policy. This time I used a credit card that sided with Hotwire and would not reverse the obvious duplicate charge. Class Action anyone?
