This company placed a $25.28 long distance charge on my phone bill and I don't even have long distance service. The company that claimed to be the service provider was named Optical Telephone Corp.
I was slammed by IDL back in 2002 which after getting nowhere with my phone company (Bellsouth) I decided to have my phone disconnected for almost 2 years. Cellphones work better nowdays and I might do it again.
Bellsouth tells me that even though I don't have long distance service, someone can slip in and make a LD call on my phone. (Go Figure)
The nice lady at ILD took the words out of my mouth when I called and said to deduct the LD amount from my bill and pay the normal amount. She also said that a telemarketer got my number and did this fraud.
Wait and See time.
