At the end of booking my flight reservations, there was a message to me stating that I would get a $20 rebate if I called a phone number. When I called, the person asked me all kinds of info. I thought it was so they could mail me the rebate. Then she says that she will email me, I have to print something then mail it back to them. I told her that I didn't want to print something just to mail it back to her. She mentioned something about $0.99. I told her I wasn't interested and insisted that she mail me the check. Finally, she agreed. But I did not receive the check.
Also, this happened to a friend of mine. Her trip was back in June. She was promised the $20 as well as $50 if she joined something (perhaps travellers advantage?). She was charged $16 for two months before she cancelled it. She did not receive her $50.
