We were contacted by the YellowPages Local on Oct. 7 saying we owed them $562.83. They said my husband agreed to pay for services they provided which was a total lie. After checking a web-site called Yellow Pages Scam we realized that we were being scammed. They made several calls and faxed several invoices but we told them we were not paying. They threatned to turn this over to the credit bureau and it would ruin our credit and standings. I told the last guy that called that
I had called my local police, my lawyer and was in the process of reporting them to the FTC which I did. Yesterday we got a call from CC Recovery from a lady? By the name of Sherry Walters (866) 747-2227 ext. 806 stating they were a collection agency trying to collect on a bill due to YellowPages Local for $833.77. I told her we had no intentions of paying this. She got right nasty and threatned to turn this over to the credit bureau and I told her to do what she had to do we were not paying! She said she had a recording saying we would pay and did I want to hear it and I
told her I knew about it and I dit not want to hear it. I then told her to do what she had to do and she hung up. Like some of the other complaints here not long after I got a faxed invoice with a letter. Don't pay these people!
