On 7/14, I took my computer in for service. I was told that it had a virus. The tech confirmed that the computer was backed up. I mentioned problems I had with a Western Digital Passport, but advised that the info was backed up on a second WD Passport. He advised that he could retrieve the data on the problem Passport and that the retrieval will cost an extra $200. He requested that I put the WD Passport in their mailbox over the weekend. I did, and someone stole the Passport from the mailbox. It was eventually returned, but the data was never recovered. Wintech refuses to refund my $200. I ended up paying $454.73 to have a virus removed.
