I tried to book a flight LHR to EDI for my daughter (a regular occurence) via the BA website. When it came to payment, the system came back with 'internet connection lost'. I tried to book again with the same result so I left it, intending to do the booking next day at work.
When I got to work there was notification that I had booked and paid for two tickets for the same flight for the same person (my daughter).
I immediately cancelled one of them but was charged £60 for my trouble.
I complained to BA but got no sympathy or refund. I pointed out that they had let me book two seats for one bum - I used my daughter's BA Exec Club number. Thay are now ignoring me.
